Kite got a specific spin number (i believe it was 3?) that only can be used when there is a life or death situation. Since Koala was an assassin of sorts before he became an ant, It concluded the narrative surrounding ants and their humanity. To further elaborate, the reason why Koala was Having an existential crisis and apologizing to kite to begin with is due to the fact that the only way koala felt capable of helping the girl was by killing her. I'm assuming Kites hatsu allowed him to manifest as meruems sibling. The girl's body and kite soul were then eaten by the queen, Transforming them into an ant. Number 3 crazy slots allowed kite to transfer his soul to the nearest empty vessel, Which in the instance that he died was this girl's body. Koala Used an instance of nen, or developed a special nen ability Which allowed him to extinguish the soul of the little redhead girl he killed in order to stop her from reincarnating as an ant (episode 79-90 ish, it is shown again during the conversation with kite) It's explained in a very roundabout way when Koala has a conversation with kite at the end of the anime. Its very possible he has to die in combat for this to work, and equally possible once reincarnated he cant use this ability again, or even crazy slots at all. We dont see the pitou fight which could give us more info on his restrictions and the specificity of his death. Was it created by kite or hijacked? If it was hijacked, he would need a permanent supply of unborn babies around him for his ability to activate. And theres still the question of how he took over the baby’s body. And since these are restrictions, he cant maintain this permanently, or it wouldnt really be a restriction. He would also have to permanently meet conditions 1 and 2 to guarantee he reincarnates when he dies. its pretty likely that these 3 restrictions arent enough to reincarnate your soul. We only really know 3 of them: He must have a very strong desire not to die, and he has to role no3, and die. Abilities as potent as this should have a pretty impressive amount of restrictions on it.
